Have you ever had a job that just fit you perfectly? A job that didn't seem like a job at all because it was something that you really liked to do?? Well, that is the way it is for me! I LOVE WEDDINGS! After more than a decade of wedding consulting, I still cry at weddings!

I love seeing the bride and groom excited about the decisions they are making. Many times these are the first (of many more to come) major decisions that a couple makes together. Some times it can be overwhelming or stressful, but it really doesn't have to be if you have someone guiding you along. It doesn't have to be overly expensive either! My goal is to create your dream wedding while staying within a reasonable budget.

Susan Duyck - Ultraviolet Events Owner

For nine years Susan Duyck volunteered as a wedding coordinator for St. Mathews Church. She worked closely with the brides and grooms and often parents to plan the ceremony and to ensure the wedding went smoothly. This also included working closely with florists, photographers, videographers, musicians and the wedding party on the day of the wedding.

It was a natural shift to start her own business with all the contacts and experience she had gained over those years. Susan has been married for 15 years to her best friend and constant supporter-Scott. They also help newly engaged couples prepare for marriage through a Sponsor Couple Program. Susan continues her volunteering efforts for wedding coordinating at both St. Juan Diego in the Bethany area and at St. Patrick's in downtown Portland.
